Job description

DC Beane and Associates Construction Company is seeking motivated Field Engineers to join our growing team. This position supports project execution through coordination, communication, document control, subcontractor management, and field operations support on complex construction projects throughout New England.

We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience and may hire at different levels based on qualifications, technical knowledge, leadership ability, and prior construction experience


Responsibilities

  • Support project execution by obtaining, evaluating, coordinating, and distributing project information and authorizations.
  • Assist with preparation of contract item lists, closeout documentation, and final project records.
  • Draft subcontract change orders and client change order requests.
  • Track, distribute, and follow up on project documents, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to ensure timely review and approval.
  • Coordinate material and equipment releases to support project schedules.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and coordination.
  • Assist with pricing and estimating subcontractor scope changes.
  • Support project teams in maintaining schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements and company policies.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide coordination support between field and office teams.
  • Depending on experience level, candidates may manage subcontractors, oversee portions of project scope, and coordinate specific systems, floors, or phases of work with varying levels of supervision.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent construction experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in commercial construction preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project coordination processes preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Procore, and Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Life Sciences construction experience is a plus, but not required.


Physical Requirements

Travel to project sites throughout New England is required. Candidates must be able to climb stairs and ladders, navigate active construction environments, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Work may involve exposure to construction equipment, elevated structures, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and electrical hazards.


Compensation

The typical salary range for this position is $75,000–$90,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skill set, education, project background, and overall qualifications. Familiarity with commercial construction and the New England market may also be considered.

This salary range is only one component of DC Beane and Associates’ overall compensation package.


Additional Information

Please note: This is a New England-based construction position and we are seeking candidates available for immediate hire. Candidates who do not currently reside in New England must include a confirmed relocation timeline and planned move date with their application. “Open to relocation” without a defined plan is not sufficient for consideration.
