Think Consulting information

What are some common challenges faced by consultants at a Think Consulting firm, and how can they be overcome?

Consultants at Think Consulting often encounter challenges such as adapting quickly to new industries, managing multiple client expectations, and balancing tight project deadlines. Success in this environment typically requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate closely with both clients and internal teams. Building strong relationships, seeking ongoing feedback, and staying organized can help consultants overcome these challenges and deliver high-quality results.

What is think consulting?

Think consulting refers to a professional service where experts help organizations solve complex problems, develop strategies, and innovate by leveraging critical and creative thinking. These consultants analyze business challenges, provide insights, and recommend actionable solutions tailored to the client's needs. Their goal is to facilitate better decision-making, improve efficiency, and foster growth within companies. Think consulting may focus on a range of areas, from management and operations to technology and organizational change.

Think Consulting and Business Analysts often share similar educational backgrounds and certifications. However, Think Consulting roles typically involve strategic advisory work within consulting firms and client sites, focusing on high-level problem-solving. Business Analysts usually work within organizations to analyze and improve business processes, often in corporate settings. While both roles require analytical skills and relevant certifications, their work environments and primary objectives differ, making them distinct career paths within the industry.

To thrive as a Management Consultant, you need strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a relevant degree such as business, economics, or a related field. Familiarity with data analysis tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and sometimes industry-specific software such as Tableau or SAP is common, and certifications like PMP or Lean Six Sigma can add value. Exceptional communication, adaptability, and stakeholder management set top consultants apart. These skills are crucial for effectively diagnosing client issues, delivering actionable recommendations, and driving organizational change.

Automation Business Consultant

Kirby Risk Electrical Supply

Are you the kind of person who doesnโ€™t just chase opportunitiesโ€”you engineer them? Do you turn conversations into strategy, strategy into action, and action into measurable results? If youโ€™re wired to think bigger than products and driven to deliver real business outcomes, this role might be built for you.

If so, we want you on our team.

At Kirby Risk, weโ€™re not just selling automationโ€”weโ€™re helping customers transform how they operate. Weโ€™re looking for an Automation Business Consultant who can connect the dots between technology, strategy, and growthโ€”someone who thrives in high-level conversations, builds trust at every level, and knows how to turn possibility into performance.

What Youโ€™ll Do as an Automation Business Consultant

In this role, youโ€™ll act as a strategic advisor, driving growth through consultative engagement and market leadership.

Youโ€™ll:

  • Build and influence executive-level relationships to drive long-term business partnerships
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that expand solution adoption and market share
  • Identify and advance high-value opportunities through strategic account development and joint sales efforts
  • Align cross-functional teams to deliver targeted business outcomes for customers
  • Analyze market trends, customer drivers, and competitive landscapes to guide decision-making
  • Lead customer engagements, solution discussions, and application demonstrations
  • Strengthen and expand vendor and partner ecosystems to enhance solution delivery
  • Utilize CRM tools to track pipeline activity and ensure visibility across the organization
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and sales growth
  • Represent Kirby Risk with professionalism, building trust and credibility in every interaction

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 5+ years of consultative sales or business development experience
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales objectives
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including executives
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Advanced computer proficiency; Microsoft Office preferred
  • Forward-thinking, strategic mindset with strong negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Self-directed, collaborative work style with a passion for results

What to Expect in This Role

  • Customer-facing role with regular engagement at the executive and leadership level
  • Collaboration across sales, marketing, and operational teams
  • Opportunity to lead and influence strategic growth initiatives
  • Travel required to support customer relationships and business development
  • Exposure to a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Full-time schedule, Mondayโ€“Friday
