Position Classification

Position Summary

Sets up audio equipment for events and monitors sound board during performances.

Responsibilities
  • Set up audio equipment including speakers, monitors, amplifiers, and microphones
  • Operate sound board
  • Run cables
  • Provide monitor mixes
  • Work with in-house system or set up independent sound system
  • Patch analog system
  • Run audio from video and other inputs
  • Report to production manager and or stage manager
  • Keep equipment organized and clean
  • Help other departments on call when needed
Qualifications
  • Familiar with standard audio equipment
  • Familiar with Soundcraft sound boards; able to perform quick troubleshooting
  • Be able to work independently
  • Lift heavy equipment
  • Work well under pressure
  • Previous experience a must
