Job description


The Janitorial/Custodial team member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the community. This position will clean and maintain common areas and amenities, assist with room setups, support community events, and perform basic technical duties related to operating the theater and playing scheduled movies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, elevators, and amenity spaces.
  • Perform basic technical functions necessary to operate theater equipment and play scheduled movies on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Assist with room setups and breakdowns for meetings, social events, club functions, and other community activities.
  • Clean and sanitize elevators, including floors, walls, mirrors, handrails, buttons, doors, and tracks.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces throughout the property.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners as needed.
  • Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, and other glass surfaces in common areas.
  • Clean and maintain restrooms to established standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Restock restroom supplies, including paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, and other necessary supplies.
  • Perform spot cleaning throughout the property and respond promptly to spills or other immediate cleaning needs.
  • Monitor common areas for cleanliness and address issues as they arise.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, leaks, or other repair needs to management promptly.
  • Properly use, clean, maintain, and store cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, manufacturer instructions, and association policies.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of cleaning and restroom supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects, deep-cleaning assignments, community events, and other duties as assigned by management.
