Position Overview

The Dino's Trucking Over-the-Road (OTR) Class A CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer freight throughout the United States using 53' dry van and refrigerated trailers. Drivers are responsible for selecting their own loads, ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), company policies, and customer requirements, while representing Dino's Trucking with professionalism and exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer in compliance with all FMCSRs, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Transport and deliver customer freight throughout the United States.
  • Select available loads while maintaining efficient utilization and meeting customer delivery commitments.
  • Complete all required company, customer, and DOT documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain communication with Dispatch regarding load status, delays, route changes, and any issues affecting deliveries.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch, Human Resources, and Maintenance regarding scheduling, equipment, repairs, and operational matters.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, reporting any equipment defects promptly.
  • Verify load accuracy and secure freight prior to departure.
  • Load and unload freight when required.
  • Maintain accurate Hours of Service and electronic driver logs.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow drivers, customers, dispatchers, and office personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success and operational goals of Dino's Trucking.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 23 years of age.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of recent verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to meet all DOT qualification requirements.
  • Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, maintenance personnel, and fellow employees.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently enter and exit commercial motor vehicles.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position, including reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and securing freight when required.
  • Ability to safely perform all essential job functions in various weather and working conditions.
