QuikCut, LLC is growing, and we're looking for experienced Weld Supervisors to lead our welding teams in Fort Wayne, Indiana. At QuikCut, you'll have the opportunity to lead a skilled team, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in producing exceptional fabricated metal products for our customers.


What You'll Do

As a Weld Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the welding department, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently achieved. You'll lead by example while developing your team and promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.


Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of welders and fitter/welders.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily workflow to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure all welding is completed according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Monitor work quality and verify completed welds meet company and customer standards.
  • Provide hands-on support and technical guidance as needed.
  • Train new employees and assist in developing welding skills across the department.
  • Promote and enforce all safety policies and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve production issues.
  • Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and workflow to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.
Requirements:

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a welding or metal fabrication environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding processes.
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Experience with fabrication tools, measuring instruments, and welding equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and producing high-quality work.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
