POSITION SUMMARY

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing a clean, welcoming, organized, and hospitable breakfast experience for hotel guests.
This is a highly guest-facing position requiring an individual who is friendly, energetic, dependable, attentive to detail, and committed to exceptional hospitality. The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, replenishing, and breaking down the Fairfield breakfast operation while ensuring food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service meet Fairfield by Marriott brand standards.
The Breakfast Attendant is often one of the first associates guests encounter in the morning and plays an important role in creating a positive first impression of the hotel.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

GUEST SERVICE

  • Warmly greet and acknowledge every guest entering the breakfast area.
  • Create a welcoming and positive environment for hotel guests.
  • Assist guests with questions regarding breakfast offerings and hotel amenities.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
  • Monitor the breakfast area and anticipate guest needs.
  • Assist guests with seating and accessibility needs when appropriate.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and notify management when necessary.
  • Thank guests and ensure they leave the breakfast area feeling welcomed and valued.
  • Maintain a visible and guest-focused presence throughout breakfast service.
BREAKFAST SETUP

  • Arrive prepared and ready to work at the scheduled start time.
  • Complete breakfast setup prior to the beginning of service.
  • Ensure all food and beverage stations are properly stocked and presented.
  • Set up plates, bowls, cups, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other breakfast supplies.

FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE

Responsibilities include:
  • Remove and properly store reusable food items according to hotel procedures.
  • Dispose of food that cannot be safely retained.
  • Clean and sanitize breakfast equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize food and beverage stations.
  • Clean tables and chairs.
  • Clean and organize the breakfast dining area.
  • Restock supplies for the following breakfast service.
  • Properly label, date, and rotate retained food products.
  • Clean refrigerators and reach-ins as assigned.
  • Remove trash.
  • Sweep and mop applicable areas.
  • Complete the daily breakfast cleaning checklist.
  • Report maintenance or equipment concerns.
  • Ensure the breakfast area is left clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next service period.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

All Breakfast Attendants are expected to:
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and appropriate grooming at all times.
  • Wear the required uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Remain visible, attentive, and engaged while working.
  • Personal cell phone use is not permitted while working, except when authorized by management.
