Description
We are looking for a customer-service focused, and dependable Server/Bartender to join our restaurant in Beverly-Chicago!
The Bartender/Server provides exceptional guest service by preparing and serving beverages, taking food orders, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for every guest. This role requires a friendly, outgoing personality, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and welcoming bar and dining area in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
Must be available to work Friday-Sundays, along with some weekdays. Closing shifts. (4pm-close)
Pay: In the event your combined wages ($12.96 hourly rate and your earned tips) don't add up to $17.05 Home Run Inn will still guarantee you are paid $17.05 per hour.
Responsibilities:
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them in a timely manner
  • Mix, prepare and serve drink orders, using standard recipe's.
  • Practice responsible alcohol service: monitor alcohol consumption and age requirements.
  • Operate cash POS system. Accept payments provide change.
  • Presents menu, actively sells and suggests menu items, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
  • Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and service bars.
  • Assists in the service of food and beverage to tables, pre-bussing functions and the set-up / takedown of buffet table.
  • Request stock and check bar to monitor stock levels.
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar, station, and guest areas throughout the shift and at the end of the night.
  • Monitor equipment and beverage systems.
  • Promotes upcoming and special events to guests.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
  • Use POS System, calculator and common cleaning supplies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to pour and serve alcohol.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, customer service, and teamwork skills.
  • Previous serving and/or bartending experience in a restaurant setting preferred
  • Continuously be able to physically lift, reach, bend and stop.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods. (up to 5 hours).?
  • Have working knowledge of the predominant language of our guests?
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.?
  • You must obtain Food Handler certification within 30 days of being hired.?
  • You must obtain Basset certification within 30 days of being hired.
  • You must obtain Safety shoes are required within 30 days of being hired.?
