We create new aircraft, fly heavy-lift helicopters around the world, and provide maintenance support to ensure you are mission-ready for critical operations. A Logging Hooker is a key crew member in helicopter logging operations. They are responsible for attaching and detaching logs to the helicopter's longline using chokers or rigging gear. Working in challenging terrain, logging hookers ensure that loads are secure and safely positioned for aerial transport. The role demands physical endurance, strong communication skills, and strict adherence to safety protocols to coordinate effectively with the pilot and ground crew.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Build loads (turns) for the helicopter to transport out of the woods.
  • Hook chokered logs to the aircraft
  • Ability to use radio and/or signal mirror/flashlight to clock the helicopter pilot into position
  • Ability to clean logging debris
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • One Year verifiable helicopter log hooking
  • Possess mechanical aptitude and coordination
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing situations
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid preferred
  • Ability to travel between job sites throughout the U.S.
