Hosting hundreds of major events, trade shows, and celebrations each year, the Diamond Center provides world-class hospitality and service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

Epoch Catering is seeking a Lead Custodian to oversee and execute the cleaning, maintenance, and setup standards within the Diamond Banquet & Conference Center. This individual will take ownership of the facilityโ€™s presentation, ensuring that every event space meets the highest standards of cleanliness and readiness.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional who takes pride in their work, values team collaboration, and is seeking long-term stability in a well-established organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and participate in custodial operations, ensuring all event spaces, lobbies, restrooms, and back-of-house areas are clean, sanitized, and well maintained.

Oversee daily and event-based cleaning schedules; assign and monitor staff tasks.

Conduct routine inspections to ensure all custodial standards and safety requirements are met.

Coordinate with event managers and facility operations teams for room setups, resets, and quick-turn events.

Ensure proper use and care of cleaning equipment and supplies.

Train and mentor staff in cleaning procedures, safety, and event readiness.

Perform or oversee deep cleaning projects as needed.

Communicate maintenance issues promptly to management.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of custodial or janitorial experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.

Proven reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or move for extended periods.

Flexibility to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and event-based shifts.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience in a hospitality, convention, or event environment preferred.
