Thatcher Company of New York is seeking qualified Chemical Truck Loader Operatorย on Swing Shift to work in our Williamson, NY facility.

Competitive salary $22-25 per hour

Major Accountabilities

  • Load and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and all other containers
  • Operate commercial yard trucks to move trailers around the plant.ย  Experience preferred but not required.
  • Understand and operate plant equipment and processes
  • Regularly lift 50 pounds
  • Operate pumpsย and loading equipment
  • Operate forklift
  • Swing Shift M-F

Required Qualifications:

  • Desire and demonstrated ability to work safely andย promote safety/safe work practices.
  • Be quality conscious.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language well for safety and operations
  • Aptitude to follow written and verbal instructions in detail and learn additional skills with experience.
  • Capacity to work in extreme conditions (temperature) and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, including the use of tools and equipment, is preferred.
  • Ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves and boots, safety glasses, hard hat, face shield, full-face respirator (if required), and chemical splash suit (overalls and jacket).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
