What awaits you:

        Reviews work orders and receives verbal instructions on job assignments

        Installs and relocates plant equipment and makes related connections to building systems and other equipment

        Repairs and modifies plant systems/facilities using fabrication, welding, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills

        Reads and interprets equipment repair and installation manuals, wiring schematics and drawings

        Follows applicable codes and regulations

        Performs preventative maintenance procedures following an established program

        Responds to emergency requests for immediate repairs

        Assists outside contractors with repairs and installation of plant systems and equipment

        Conducts daily inspections of assigned plant equipment, systems and facility - monitors gages, filters, fluid levels, system readings, cooling tower, silo, etc.

        Uses a variety of test and measuring equipment such as ohmmeter, volt meter, scale caliper, dial caliper, micrometer, tape

        Uses a wide range of shop, hand, and power tools which are common to the various trades of welding, electrical, mechanical, carpenter, and plumbing

        Participates in plant start-up and shut-down procedures

        Maintains specified records and logs of repairs, maintenance-related activities and systems readings

        Cleans immediate work areas

        Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed

        Performs other duties incidental to the position, as assigned

        Maintain safe work environment and follow all safety standards

        Comply with all OSHA standards and Textron health & safety standards

        Comply with all ISO 14001 standards and all IATF 16949 standards

What you'll need to succeed:

        High School Diploma or GED required

        2 year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred

        Applied preventative maintenance experience

        Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC systems

        Proven experience using a wide range of shop, hand, and power tools

        Demonstrated ability utilizing Mig and Tig welding techniques preferably

        Proven electrical experience, including ability to run wire and troubleshoot electrical application

        Knowledge of mechanical, carpentry, and plumbing trades

        Proven ability to read and interpret equipment repair and installation manuals, wiring schematics, and drawings

        Proven ability to use a variety of tests and measuring equipment...ohmmeter, volt meter, scale caliper, dial caliper, micrometer, tape
