- Responsible for supporting laboratory operations by handling specimen processing, preparation, documentation, and routine lab support activities.
- The role involves maintaining safety standards, performing quality checks, and assisting in daily laboratory workflow to ensure accurate and efficient testing operations.

Experience:
- No prior work experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and receive laboratory specimens.
- Perform routine instrument maintenance on lab equipment.
- Centrifuge specimens and print additional labels as required.
- Record data such as temperature charts and specimen tracking information.
- Prepare reagents and media for laboratory testing.
- Prepare specimens for testing including aliquoting, clot checking, and slide preparation.
- Build worklists and support specimen processing activities.
- Perform QA/QC duties as assigned.
- Resolve pending specimen lists and locate missing samples.
- Decontaminate work areas and maintain clean lab environment.
- Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests.
- Maintain departmental records and files.
- Change gas cylinders as required.
- Operate laboratory computer systems and PCs for data entry and tracking.
- Dispose of biohazardous materials safely.
- Complete training and competency requirements.
Should Have:
- Medical assistant training preferred.
