Job description:
Embroidery Machine Operator
Position Summary:
 The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining embroidery machines to produce custom designs on garments, fabrics, and other materials. This role ensures high-quality stitching, accurate design placement, and efficient production to meet deadlines and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate multi-head embroidery machines according to job specifications.
  • Load and hoop garments or fabric securely for embroidery.
  • Read and interpret work orders, design sheets, and thread color charts.
  • Select appropriate threads, needles, and backing materials for each job.
  • Monitor embroidery machines during operation to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency; make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and replacing needles or bobbins.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
  • Track production quantities and record work completed in production logs or software.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience with commercial embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, Melco, Brother, or similar) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of embroidery software and design setup (e.g., Wilcom, Pulse, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
Physical Requirements:
  • ·Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Lift and move materials up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
Schedule & Work Environment:
  • ·FULL TIME OR PART TIME position; typical schedule Monday–Friday (hours may vary based on workload).
