Position Summary
The Material Handler supports daily distribution center operations through product handling, order fulfillment, inventory movement, and general warehouse support activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, order accuracy, workplace safety, and overall organization within the facility. Material Handlers may perform responsibilities across several functional areas including shipping, receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and forklift operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment amp; Material Handling
  • Pick, pack, stage, load, and unload products accurately and efficiently
  • Process and fulfill customer orders according to established procedures and productivity expectations
  • Receive, stock, organize, and replenish inventory within designated warehouse locations
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as assigned and certified
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including product verification and documentation
Warehouse Operations amp; Safety
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within assigned work areas
  • Follow all company safety procedures, security protocols, facility rules, and operational guidelines
  • Properly handle products and materials to minimize damage and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or operational discrepancies to leadership promptly
  • Support inventory counts, audits, and general warehouse maintenance activities as needed
Team amp; Operational Support
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to support operational goals and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in company performance, productivity, and/or accuracy incentive programs as applicable
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with company expectations
  • Work overtime as needed to support business demands and operational effectiveness
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Work Environment
This position operates within a warehouse/distribution center environment and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, warehouse equipment, moving machinery, and moderate noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required based on assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to read and understand printed work orders, shipping documents, and related materials in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or forklift experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to frequently lift, move, push, and/or carry up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive physical movements for extended periods
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and safely navigate a distribution environment
