Job description

Job Family:
Data Science (DAN), Data Science & Analysis (ESA), Subject Matter Experts - Professional (SMP), Subject Matter Experts - Technical (SMT)

What You Will Do:
The Technical SETA will provide support in the execution of the lifecycle of a research program from development, source selection, execution, closeout, and transition. The Technical SETA will be responsible for attending meetings, workshops, conferences, and testing events as the Subject Matter Expert.
In this role, the Technical SETA will serve as the Subject Matter Expertise in creating capabilities to detect specialized language of interest to a user and generate probable definitions for unfamiliar, coded and novel terms.
What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a polygraph
  • Master's in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
  • FIVE (5) or more years' experience in text-to-speech research and development, including but not limited to:
    • Generating glossaries of specialized terms using limited context
    • Finding specialized language in a large corpus
    • Human subjects' research experience
    • Detecting and defining specialized language in diverse, multilingual text collections
    • Annotating text with relevant social and contextual factors, including capturing nuanced meaning

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • PhD in mathematics, computer science, or data analytics
  • FIVE (5) or more years' experience in generating glossaries of specialized terms using limited context
  • FIVE (5) or more years' experience in finding specialized language in a large corpus
  • THREE (3) or more years' experience in human subjects' research experience
  • Experience in detecting and defining specialized language in diverse, multilingual text collections
  • Experience with annotating text with relevant social and contextual factors, including capturing nuanced meaning

The annual salary range for this position is $115,200.00-$172,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
