Job description

Duties and Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:Assists in event facility rental; negotiates contracts with lessees in accordance with established policies and procedures; establishes and maintains events calendar; coordinates lessee meetings and post event follow-up. Generate and maintain client files that consist of various documents: contracts, insurance, deposits, riders, and other event related documents. Answers multi-line telephone; receives and screens visitors; refers telephone calls to appropriate personnel; performs a variety of administrative and clerical work of a specialized, confidential and complex nature; maintains frequent contact with clients.

Monitor facility use during scheduled events. Other Job Functions: Performs other duties as required. Job description statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job title.

Subject to extreme noise, working indoors and outdoors. Minimum Essential Qualifications Knowledge: Knowledge of event planning; sales and marketing; and customer service techniques. Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational and customer service skills; ability to work well with staff, and other city departments.

Physical Requirements: Constantly sees, hears, sits, types, operates a PC and writes by hand; frequently files, sorts, twist body, pushes, pulls, lifts or carries objects weighing up to 25 lbs, stands, walks, operates a calculator, enters data and drives; infrequently kneels, cleans. Education/Experience: Graduation from high school with three (3) years of experience in event planning, sales, marketing, or customer service. Other Other: This position requires 100% on-site work.

A valid Class C driver's license with a good driving record other state valid Driver's License equivalent to Texas Class C with a good driving record will be considered. Texas state law requires within 30 days of residency, you must possess a valid Texas driver's license; must have transportation.
