Our multi-disciplinary staff of engineers, technicians, and scientists provide research and development engineering services to industry and the Federal Government. Our primary research areas are Additive Manufacturing, MicroElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) / Nanotechnology, and Microelectronics. The Position
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work with multidisciplinary team to design, test, and integrate electronics, firmware, and software for various additive manufacturing, autonomous systems, and sensor projects
  • Aid senior engineers with day to day oversight of activities, including providing guidance to a team of engineering technicians.
  • Aid senior engineers in developing engineering documentation, such as test procedures, for various activities.

Qualifications
Basic
  • Experience with programming embedded systems microcontroller and FPGA (Texas Instruments, Arduino, Microchip, Xilinx) software development
  • Experience with integrating sensors (i.e. accelerometers, gyros, thermocouples, encoders)
  • Experience in developing software in C, C++, Python
  • Experience with computer vision (openCV)
  • Experience developing Graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
  • Experience developing backend services (web servers, RESTful servers, etc)
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to design analog and digital circuits
  • Altium Designer
  • Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Computer Science
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to obtain/maintain a final Secret DoD clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
  • Authorization to work for employers in the U.S. without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or transfer employment visas at this time.
