Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033
Work hours: Full Time- Nights: Week 1 (24 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am; Week 2 (36 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am need to be available rotating weekends.
Labor and Delivery highlights:
• Average 120 deliveries per month
• Focused on the experience of all who enter the hospital
• Promote family-centered care
Supportive of the patient's vision of the Labor & Delivery
Here's What You Need
• Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
• BSN (Preferred)
• 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
• 1 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) And
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) And
• IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) And
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
What You Will Do
• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
