Job Summary
Maintenance Engineer (multiple openings)
Position reports to Tetra Pak headquarters at 3300 Airport Rd., Denton, TX 76207, but will work at various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. 80% domestic travel required to multiple client sites.
Telecommuting permitted 1 day per week.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:
Responsible for overseeing successful installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Tetra Pak's technologies for customers. Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance activities for Tetra Pak's food packaging and processing equipment including troubleshooting. Execute and support installation tasks, including the assembly of complete systems and distribution equipment. Install relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits according to Tetra Pak procedures. Report all discovered technical issues. Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service. Inform management about any business opportunities discovered at customer sites. Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with customers and ensuring that Tetra Pak's reputation is sustained. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done. Plan, order, and ensure all parts needed to sustain the operation are always available. Sustain and improve production line performance. Analyze technical issues using systematic approach to problem solving methodology. Facilitate daily and weekly meetings to address any issues on the line to achieve performance target. Support and follow-up on customers' concerns and problems. Deliver maintenance and operational technical training to customer teams on site, including supervisors and managers with regards to Tetra Pak Line operations. Install base consisting of A3Flex Filling machines, A3speed Filling Machine, and distribution equipment (Tetra Pak Accumulator, Cap Applicator, Cardboard Packer, Line Controller+) and other processing equipment.
We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field, and 2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance. Alternatively, will accept an Associate's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field, and 4 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Must also have work experience in:
1. Conducting installation and commissioning for new distribution and production equipment;
2. Performing corrective and preventative maintenance;
3. Training and introducing technical service products to customer technicians;
4. Conducting claims handling;
5. Using Program Logic Control (PLC), Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley, and RSLogix5000 PLC Controllers; and
6. Conducting electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
