Job Title

About your role:

As a Senior Quality Assurance and Test Automation Engineer, you will design and execute quality engineering strategies for the North Front-End platform across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. You will work independently with senior management, business partners, and global technical teams to improve release quality, strengthen automation coverage, and support reliable delivery for high-volume payment processing solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing across web, application programming interface (API), and system workflows
  • Build, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks and reusable tools using Python or a similar object-oriented language to increase test coverage and execution efficiency
  • Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to define test scope, gather requirements, and create test plans aligned to business rules, technical design, and release objectives
  • Perform testing activities including planning, test case design, scripting, execution, debugging, defect reporting, and post-execution analysis for projects of moderate complexity
  • Analyze test results, document defects, track remediation, and communicate quality status, risks, and metrics using tools such as Jira or similar test management and defect tracking platforms
  • Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools to support consistent and repeatable validation
  • Research and apply new automation tools, testing approaches, and observability practices to improve defect triage, diagnostics, and overall test effectiveness
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in quality assurance and test automation for enterprise-scale, high-volume platforms, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • 6+ years of experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python, Java, C#, or a similar object-oriented language
  • 6+ years of experience using automation and test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, Tricentis Tosca, JMeter, QTP, or Unified Functional Testing (UFT)
  • 5+ years of experience testing APIs, Representational State Transfer (REST) and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) web services, and Transmission Control Protocol/Hypertext Transfer Protocol (TCP/HTTP) applications
  • 4+ years of experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools, and managing defects and execution results in Jira, qTest, Zephyr, or TestRail
  • Experience applying software development life cycle and Agile or Scrum delivery practices, including participation in sprint planning, test planning, execution tracking, and quality reviews
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience supporting merchant payment processing, including authorizations at point of sale or card-not-present digital commerce, clearing and settlement, merchant onboarding, merchant reporting, or fraud and security analytics
  • Experience supporting payment processing for financial institutions, including debit card, loan, or credit card platforms across account servicing, statements, notifications, rewards, collections, authorizations, or chargebacks
  • Experience with performance, load, resiliency, and security testing as part of a broader quality strategy
  • Experience using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, centralized logging, metrics, or tracing to improve troubleshooting and defect diagnostics

Sponsorship:

You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
