We are growing our Power Services Division in Maryland and looking to add an Electrical Testing Technician. This position may be hired at the Technician II or Senior Technician III level based on experience, certification, and technical capability.


WHAT WE NEED


We are seeking an experienced electrical testing professional to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical electrical power systems.


Whether you are already NETA or NICET certified or have strong power systems testing experience and are interested in pursuing certification, we want to hear from you.


Electrical Testing Technician II

• NETA Level II, NICET Level II, or equivalent experience

• Experience with electrical power systems testing, commissioning, or maintenance

• Experience with switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, and related equipment

• Ability to perform testing using Doble, Megger, Omicron, Vanguard, or similar equipment

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and test results

• Willingness to travel regionally and support overnight assignments


Senior Electrical Testing Technician III

• NETA Level III, NICET Level III, or equivalent advanced experience

• 5+ years of electrical power systems testing and commissioning experience

• Advanced experience with low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities

• Ability to independently lead complex testing and commissioning activities

• Technical leadership and ability to mentor less experienced technicians

• Strong customer communication and field leadership skills


No NETA or NICET certification yet? Candidates with strong, relevant power systems testing experience who are interested in becoming certified are encouraged to apply.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


• Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems

• Test switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, protective relays, cables, grounding systems, and related equipment

• Perform commissioning and startup activities

• Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify equipment deficiencies

• Operate industry-standard electrical testing equipment

• Interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation

• Document testing results and prepare accurate reports

• Follow applicable NETA standards and company safety requirements

• Work closely with customers, project teams, and other technical personnel

• Travel regionally and support overnight assignments as required
