Description:

Lab Technicians are the key to testing and grading the quality of all inbound grain (Red Wheat and #2 Yellow Corn) for human and animal consumption using specialized equipment.


This is a seasonal, part-time internship that runs during our Wheat Harvest season (tentative start date of Thursday, July 9th – Friday, August 7th).

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

· Workspace setup, maintenance, and clean up.

· Maintain inventory and grain sample storage.

· Test grain for the presence of deoxynivalenol (fungus) in wheat.

· Conduct falling numbers to determine flour quality.

· Report results through the software portal.


Physical Demands:

· Must be able to work in a noisy, dusty environment (appropriate PPE provided).

This position starts at $16 per hour with overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate for any hours worked over 40.
