Job description

Position & Perks
We are looking for the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as an Accounting Intern in our Allendale New Jersey office. Are you self-motivated, driven, able to work at a fast pace in a highly data-driven, number-obsessed environment, and above all, passionate about Accounting/Finance? A successful Intern at Doherty Enterprises will possess a high attention to detail, strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
Gain real life work experience while working towards your degree and get paid to do it! This is an on-site position in our Corporate Support Center located in Allendale New Jersey.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries for assigned activities
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in the month-end closing process
  • Collaborate with team for monthly variance analysis and documentation
  • Assist in mid-year audit review by pulling requested testing samples
  • Assist with updating schedules as assigned
  • Assist the Accounting Director with ad-hoc projects

Qualifications
  • Pursuing College Degree-with an interest and aptitude to work in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • Able to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-starter
