They typically execute test cases, document results, report defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. Testing Associates may work in various industries, including information technology, pharmaceuticals, or education, depending on the type of testing required. Their role is crucial in delivering reliable and high-quality products to customers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a testing associate?

To thrive as a Testing Associate, you need a strong grasp of quality assurance principles, analytical problem-solving, and attention to detail, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. In this role, you'll work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Quality to support both new product development and existing products. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with advanced power distribution and industrial control systems, helping take projects from engineering documentation and component selection through manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting, and final acceptance.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, and seeing the products they help design come to life.

What You'll Do
  • Support the design and manufacturing of advanced power distribution and industrial control systems.
  • Create, maintain, and update electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related engineering documentation.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and customer specifications.
  • Specify electrical and control components based on circuit requirements and customer needs.

  • Use electrical test equipment to support troubleshooting, inspection, and validation activities.
  • Partner with Quality on product inspection and testing.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, vendors, and customers to resolve technical issues.
  • Help develop and maintain manufacturing and quality procedures.

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology; or an Associate's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or 5+ years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
  • Experience with industrial automation, controls, power systems, motor controls, or a related technical field.

  • Experience creating and maintaining electrical schematics; AutoCAD Electrical preferred.

  • Experience interacting with vendors and customers.
  • Knowledge of NEC, UL, and NFPA standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Why ASG Power?

At ASG Power, you'll work in a collaborative, hands-on environment where Engineering and Manufacturing work closely together to solve real-world technical challenges.

You'll have exposure to multiple areas of the engineering and manufacturing process-from design and component selection to troubleshooting, testing, and production-while contributing to power distribution and industrial control solutions for our customers.

We're looking for someone who is curious, technically capable, willing to learn, and excited about growing their engineering experience as part of a collaborative team.
