Job description

The position is responsible for the administration and documentation of assessments and will work closely with the Testing Services Manager to
maintain currency (certified proctor) in skills and procedures.

Classification: Part-time, Staff

Compensation: $16/hr

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide general college information about services.
  • Administer academic/certification exams through Testing Services.
  • Schedule appointments for exams including determining candidate eligibility and exam availability.
  • Input data when necessary.
  • Participate in training as necessary to stay abreast of appropriate technical areas.
  • Learn software/hardware needed to administer the various tests, document results, and support the efforts of the Assessment Center according to established protocol.
  • Participate in vendor mandatory training.
  • Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.
  • Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree and two years (Bachelor's preferred)
  • Assessment Center experience required.
  • A working knowledge of computers is essential.
  • Excellent word processing and spreadsheet computing skills are required.
  • Must exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, confidentiality, and customer service skills.
  • Job requires flexibility and the ability to multitask.
  • Willingness and patience to answer questions from fellow proctors and to assist in launching and concluding exams.
  • Requires the ability to hear, talk, see, read and write on a constant basis.
  • Constant sitting, standing and walking within the office area. Infrequent lifting and bending.
  • Requires the ability to interpret and understand complex assessment
    instructions, to use problem solving techniques as they arise and to reason to make decisions
