Location: Reston
Clearance- TS/SCI w/FSP
Salary: $175k-185k/yr

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.

Position Summary
The Automated Tester defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets tests for processes, functions, system integration, and user acceptance testing including test units, processes, and functions. Conducts system integration tests and user acceptance testing, creates automated test scripts, and coordinates with the development team to perform tests. Documents the successes and failures of all executed test procedures. Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups. Participates in the development, maintenance, and refinement of quality control and reliability programs.
Responsibilities
  • Verification methods - Work with design engineers, production personnel, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and develop verification methods for system, subsystem, and component level requirements
  • Problem investigation - Investigate problems referred by customer support
  • Test effort management - Plan, manage, and track project test efforts
  • Test plan development - Evaluate and develop detailed test plans, procedures, and reports
  • DevOps testing - Oversee and perform testing in a DevOps environment
  • Deployment testing - Support testing after each deployment
  • Automated testing - Work with automated testing techniques
  • JUnit - Work with Junit
  • Test reporting - Oversee and perform test reporting
  • Interact directly with customers, teammates, and functional peer groups
  • Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members
Required Qualifications
  • BS degree and 11-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience; will consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with test automation methodologies such as Selenium or Katalon
  • Understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of software systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong, effective, and professional communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience working within matrixed teams
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work without close supervision
  • Ability to take initiative in troubleshooting; creative in determining approach or action to take in non?routine situations
Desired Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Sciences
  • Experience with database migration tools such as Flyway
  • Experience supporting COTS platforms
  • Experience working with / handling Highly Sensitive Data
  • Experience conducting unit testing of software modifications
  • Experience with SecDevOps
