Job description

Testa Produce, A FreshEdge LLC company, is hiring CDL A & B Local Reefer Drivers in Milwaukee, WI.

Testa Produce is a wholesale produce and food service distributor serving customers throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Its Milwaukee location near the airport, services customers from Kenosha to Green Bay and West to Madison + The Dells. Customers include restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, casinos, and country clubs.

Compensation:

  • Average Hourly Earnings: $28.00/hour
  • Pay is based on several components
  • Overtime hours: 40 hours on average per week. Overtime pay is available after 40 hours
  • Paid via direct deposit paid weekly

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

  • Home Time: Home Daily
  • Schedule: Monday - Saturday (5-day work week)
  • Sundays off + 1-day off during the week
  • Shift: 4:30 am Monday - Friday and 5:00 am on Saturday
  • Route: Around the greater Milwaukee, WI, and surrounding areas
  • Level of Touch: Load & Unload
  • Must be able to use: 2-Wheeler/Dolly, breakdown Dolly, Manuel Pallet Jack & Small Power Jack

Equipment:

  • The majority of our fleet is Refrigerated Box Trucks and straight trucks along with conventional tractors pulling 53ft or pup trailers
  • Drivers will be eligible for vehicle type based on license type and availability
  • Transmission: Automatic
  • Trucks utilize compressed natural gas-powered engines which provides a quieter and cleaner truck

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have CDL A or B license and a valid Medical Examiners Certificate
  • New grads are encouraged to apply and will be trained!
  • MVR and criminal history will be evaluated
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen and alcohol test
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 50 miles of Milwaukee, WI or be willing to relocate for this position
