Job description

We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
You will lead and own the development, implementation, and execution of product testing, test processes, and test facilities. Responsibilities include: support design of test facilities, cost estimation, working with contractors, facility maintenance and upgrades.
Salary: $76,200.00 - $127,000.00 per year

Your Challenge:
  • Development of test plans, specifications, and procedures to support design requirements.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and operation of test facilities.
  • Train and provide technical direction to operations personnel in execution of test programs.
  • Review and analyze test results.
  • Prepare reports and proposals.
  • Provide technical support for all aspects of the division's test facilities and programs.
  • Work on cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Participate as a project team member (development or production order).
  • Understand the customer's requirements for testing the product.
  • Interface effectively with internal customers (project team personnel).
  • Work with and manage outside contractor support of test facilities.

What You Bring:
  • Minimum education is a Bachelor of Science Degree/Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience involved with design, testing, or operation of rotating electrical equipment and/or medium voltage drives.
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation related to vibration, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic measurements related to product testing.
  • Experience managing outside contractors is preferred.
  • Experience with test facility construction and commissioning is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and single line diagrams.
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
