Job description

What You'll Do 

NetDocuments is seeking a Software Test Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications across cloud and desktop environments. In this role, you will partner with engineering teams to develop, execute, and improve manual and automated testing processes. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, writing code, and helping deliver high-quality software experiences for customers. 

You will: 

Execute Testing & Improve Quality 

  • Review requirements and acceptance criteria to understand expected product behavior. 
  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases for new features and enhancements. 
  • Validate functionality across UI, API, and end-to-end workflows. 
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot software defects in partnership with engineering teams. 
  • Help ensure features meet quality standards before release. 

Build Automation Skills 

  • Develop and maintain automated tests with guidance from experienced engineers. 
  • Write and debug test automation code to improve testing efficiency. 
  • Contribute to existing automation frameworks and test suites. 
  • Identify opportunities to expand automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts. 

Collaborate Across Teams 

  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other quality engineers throughout the development lifecycle. 
  • Participate in technical discussions around testing approaches and quality improvements. 
  • Share testing insights, risks, and results with the team. 
  • Contribute to a culture focused on quality, learning, and continuous improvement. 

What You'll Need to Be Successful 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 0-3+ years of experience in software testing, software development, or test automation. 
  • Experience writing code in C# or another object-oriented programming language. 
  • Understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with automated testing concepts or tools. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and think critically about software quality. 
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in an agile development environment. 

What Will Make You Stand Out 

  • Internship or professional experience in software testing or software development. 
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright. 
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs. 
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git, or CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. 
  • Experience with C#/.NET applications.

Compensation Transparency 

The compensation range for this position is: $80,000 - $100,000 

The posted cash compensation for this position includes on-target earnings. Individual compensation packages are determined based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and other job-related considerations.Â
