Job description

Description

The Electronics Technician will work in our Production Department. 

RESPONSIBILTIES: 

Troubleshoot and test electronic circuit board assemblies down to the component level. 

Evaluate circuit boards to industry standard criteria and rework to meet said standard

Perform Testing/Assembly work as needed.

Maintain and record repair information in Microsoft Excel 

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

Experience working in electronics manufacturing or technical schooling.

Ability to use various tools including soldering irons, hot-air guns, de-soldering equipment, digital multimeters, etc.

Experience with soldering, including through-hole parts and SMD components 

Understand how to follow and employ troubleshooting methodology.

Able to work independently and prioritize based on manufacturing needs


Beneficial Skills

Experience with IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, or others

Experience reworking according to IPC-7711 / IPC-7721 is valued

Experience working according to other industry standards

Ability to read and understand Electrical schematics

Experience working with very small or complex SMD components such as BGA's, QFP's, 0603 and smaller discrete components, etc.
