Job description

As the electronics technician you will disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, and test remanufactured electronics equipment, to produce a wide variety of attachments and units to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Must work with the safety department to ensure all local, state and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met, OSHA 1910, NFPA, DNR. Must work with the quality department to ensure all quality standards are met.
Essential Functions /Responsibilities
  • Follow work instructions, submit PCR for incorrect work instructions, contribute to continuous improvement
  • Team Player, communicate effectively
  • Uses existing procedures and basic problem-solving techniques to define or resolve routine problems
  • Complete daily pallet jack inspection, maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Operate manual pallet jack, press, vise, hand drill, wash tank, solvent tank, solder gun, various air tools, gauges, testers, fax machine, computer, copy machine, and telephone
  • Utilize various hand tools such as screwdriver
  • Meet monthly production goals
  • Disassemble electronics core
  • Clean and inspect core
  • Assemble remanufactured electronics using both core and new parts
  • Test electronics to ensure they meet OEM specifications
  • Package remanufactured products

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
  • Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment PPE
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift 10 lbs. constantly 11-20 lbs. frequently, and 21-40 lbs. occasionally
  • Work in climate controlled areas
  • Work in both hearing conservation and non-hearing conservation areas

Preferred
  • Preferred 2 + years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment with at least 3 months in production
  • Associate degree: machine tool and technology, or electrical engineering
