Job description

Senior Electrical Engineer โ€“ Imaging Systems (on-site)

Omega Medical Imaging โ€” Sanford, FL

Omega Medical Imaging is seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to help design, integrate, troubleshoot, and improve advanced robotic interventional X-ray systems. This is a broad technical role for an engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems across circuit boards, embedded hardware, FPGA, cabling, grounding, EMC, video, motion control, and complete system integration. You do not need previous X-ray or medical-device experience. We are more interested in strong electrical fundamentals, curiosity, and exceptional troubleshooting ability.

What You'll Do
  • Design, review, debug, and sustain analog, digital, mixed-signal, and embedded electrical hardware.
  • Support PCB/CCA design, board bring-up, verification, and production release.
  • Diagnose complex system-level problems involving hardware, communications, power, timing, grounding, noise, cabling, video, and subsystem interactions.
  • Support FPGA/programmable logic using Verilog and/or VHDL.
  • Troubleshoot EMC/EMI, grounding, shielding, filtering, and cabling issues.
  • Support manufacturing and field service with difficult technical escalations.
  • Develop practical test procedures, troubleshooting guides, fixtures, and engineering documentation.
  • Support verification, design transfer, production readiness, and technical supplier issues.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working from schematic and PCB level through complete system integration.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Strong root-cause problem-solving ability.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.

Experience with FPGA, EMC/EMI, robotics, imaging, aerospace/defense electronics, industrial systems, IEC 60601, or medical devices is a plus.

You are curious, methodical, hands-on, comfortable moving from circuit-level details to complete-system behavior, and willing to dig until the real root cause is understood.

At Omega, you'll have the opportunity to understand and influence an entire medical imaging platform rather than one narrow piece of a much larger program.

Position Type

Full-time, on-site or primarily on-site engineering role due to the hands-on nature of system troubleshooting, lab work, production support, and medical imaging equipment integration.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation (based on experience)
  • PTO package and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with Safe Harbor company match
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, & life insurance
  • HSA with employer match contribution

Omega Medical Imaging, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and Drug-Free Workplace (DFW). Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., sponsorship not available.
