Job Description:

Role Summary:
The Application Operation Services & Quality Engineering (AOSQE) team is a part of the larger Digital Business & Technology Solutions team. Working better together. AOSQE is looking for a Software Quality Engineer/Software Quality Engineering Specialist with functional, automation testing skills with DB experience to join the Mainframe and Data Testing Chapter. The successful candidate acts as the Quality Advocate and is responsible to ensure the delivery of quality solutions to our clients through testing.

Main Accountabilities:

• Contribute to designing and implementing effective QE testing strategies through analysis of complex business requirements

• Advocate for quality within the agile team and actively participate in ceremonies

• Design, develop detailed test cases to thoroughly test complex use cases and scenarios covering functional requirements

• Execute manual and/or automated test cases to validate business application logic and identify software defects

• Collaborate within cross-functional agile team on shift-left testing and automation reuse

• Document and track product defects, providing detailed reproduction steps, expected and actual results

• Contribute to the automation and quality engineering best practices within the Agile team

• Provide timely and effective communication to management, relating to quality, resource and project issues & concerns.

• Navigate effectively through complex challenges, involving others to solve problems and achieve goals

What You Need to Succeed:

• 3-5 years of software QA/quality engineering experience

• Strong experience in creation and execution of both manual and automated test cases, ensuring thorough validation of business application logic against defined requirements

• Comfortable testing reports, including validating financial data calculation accuracy

• Solid experience in QE best practices and tools

• Experience in functional, non-functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing of Mainframe and front-end applications

• Hands on experience in test automation frameworks and tools like Tricentis Tosca, Cucumber, Selenium, Python

• Demonstrated understanding of Agile principles, DevOps, shift-left and in-sprint testing, CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jira/Confluence, qTest or equivalent Test Management tool

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and work collaboratively with cross functional team members to analyze and resolve issues

• Strong communications skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to business partners

• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, quick learner and autonomous

Preferred Skills:

• Insurance domain knowledge and finance/accounting a plus

• Experience with SQL queries, MongoDB, DB2, IMS

• Familiarity with Java, Python, C# or other programming languages

• Knowledge in BDD, TDD testing framework

• Demonstrated use in prompt engineering in generative AI chatbots and agentic AI for testing

• Enhanced Reliability Clearance is a plus

L'equipe SOIQA recherche un Specialiste de ingenierie de la qualite des logiciels ayant des competences en tests fonctionnels, en automatisation des tests et en bases de donnees pour se joindre au chapitre de test des donnees et de l'ordinateur central. Le candidat retenu agit en tant que champion de la qualite et est responsable d'assurer la livraison de solutions de qualite a nos clients par le biais des tests.

Principales fonctions:

• Contribuer a l'analyse des exigences commerciales complexes et de la creation d'une strategie/plan de test pour assurer une couverture exhaustive

• Concevoir et developper des cas de test detailles pour tester minutieusement les cas d'usage et scenarios complexes couvrant les exigences fonctionnelles

• Executer des cas de test manuels et/ou automatises pour valider la logique de l'application commerciale et identifier les defauts logiciels

• Collaborer au sein d'une equipe agile multifonctionnelle sur les tests shift-left et la reutilisation de l'automatisation

• Documenter et suivre les defauts des produits, en fournissant les etapes de reproduction detaillees, les resultats attendus et reels

• Contribuer aux meilleures pratiques en automatisation et en ingenierie de la qualite au sein de l'equipe Agile

• Fournir une communication opportune et efficace a la direction concernant les enjeux et preoccupations relatifs a la qualite, aux ressources et au projet

• Naviguer efficacement a travers les defis complexes, en impliquant d'autres personnes pour resoudre les problemes et atteindre les objectifs

Les competences pour reussir:

• 3a 5 ans d'experience pertinente, incluant de l'experience en developpement et/ou en assurance qualite.

• Experience solide dans la creation et l'execution de cas de test manuels et automatises, assurant une validation complete de la logique metier des applications par rapport aux exigences definies

• A l'aise avec les tests de rapports, y compris la validation de l'exactitude des calculs de donnees financieres

• Experience solide dans les meilleures pratiques d'IQ et les outils

• Experience en tests fonctionnels, non-fonctionnels, de regression, d'integration et de bout en bout des applications Mainframe et front-end

• Experience pratique en automation avec les cadres de travail et outils d'automation de test tels que Tricentis Tosca, Cucumber, Selenium, Python

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
