Job description

What to Expect As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role on the Production team, leading a team of Associates and Leads to manage operations and drive key manufacturing metrics. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, NPI, and Material Flow to meet production goals while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on the manufacturing floor. This role requires a hands-on leadership approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing production team, ensuring training and hiring plans align with business needs
  • Drive production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs) and implement process improvements
  • Empower teams to collaborate with Engineering to improve manufacturability, resolve bottlenecks, and enhance productivity
  • Ensure quality standards are met throughout production, preventing defects from leaving the station or team area
  • Maintain and develop Standardized Manufacturing Instructions and ensure compliance with operating procedures
  • Oversee Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance, ensuring workplace safety, training completion, and incident resolution
  • Manage shift schedules, workforce planning, and shift-to-shift communication to ensure smooth production operations

What You'll Bring

  • 3 plus years of leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably managing direct reports
  • Experience in hiring, training, and developing teams with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to analyze and develop production performance metrics to drive operational excellence
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience interfacing with executives and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with manufacturing systems
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed
