Tesla internships are temporary, hands-on positions offered by Tesla, Inc. to students and recent graduates interested in gaining real-world experience in areas such as engineering, business, manufacturing, and more. Interns work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects that contribute to the company's innovative mission. These internships typically last for a few months and offer participants a chance to learn, develop skills, and potentially pursue a career at Tesla after graduation.

What types of projects do Tesla interns typically work on, and how much responsibility do they have?

Tesla interns are often assigned to meaningful, hands-on projects that contribute directly to the company’s ongoing initiatives. Depending on the department—engineering, business operations, or software development—interns may work on designing prototypes, optimizing manufacturing processes, or supporting data analysis for real-world products. Interns are given a significant level of responsibility and autonomy, collaborating closely with full-time employees and cross-functional teams. This immersive experience not only builds technical and professional skills but also offers visibility into Tesla’s fast-paced, innovative environment.
