What to Expect As aSr. Superintendent, you will play a critical role in managing and executing construction projects from start to finish. You will work closely with your Project team, Design team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications.This position willbe responsible foroverseeing field execution of complex piping systems including chiller plant, ultra-pure water, processgasand chemical distribution systems. What You'll Do
  • Leadday-to-daysite operationsfor mechanical piping scopes including chilled water systems, condensate water, glycol systems, UPW distribution, specialtygasesand hazardous chemical piping
  • Ensure all installations meet project specifications, codes, and semiconductor facility standardseg.Cleanroom protocols, vibration control).Evaluates plans, builds project schedules, supports submittal reviews, writes RFIs andcoordinatesin-field shutdowns with project stakeholders
  • Track site execution and inspections to ensure work is performed according to safety guidelines and quality standards. Ensure adherence of contractors' Quality Control standards and support internal Quality Assurance/Commissioning for turnover of MEP systems
  • Coordinates field execution with all contractors,establishesdimensional layout/control, verify installation material in the field matches the design documents and ensures contractor as-builts are accurately captured
  • Reviews project plans, P&ID's, single-line diagrams, anddeterminethe feasibility of construction as well as potential value engineering opportunities
  • Manages multiple work fronts simultaneously while adhering to Tesla specifications, procedures, and policies. Maintains effective communication with Tesla personnel, including QC, QA, CX, and Facilities
  • Maintains a safe/clean work site,identifiesand correct safety hazards/violations and coordinate withappropriate stakeholdersto quickly resolve field clashes
What You'll Bring
  • A minimum of5+ years ofexperience in mechanical piping complex construction
  • Held a supervisory role on commercial/industrial projects (e.g.,semiconductor facilities,hospitals, data centers,advancedmanufacturing facilities)
  • Strongproficiencywith chiller plant piping systems, hand-on experience with process gas and chemical piping systems
  • Familiarity with BIM software (Autodesk/Revizto) and construction management tools
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines and aggressive goals
  • OSHA 30 certification, Relevant mechanical trade licenses, andany trade certification is a plus
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards(ASME,NFPA, SEMIstandard where applicable), and environmental regulationswithabilityto provide constructability feedback to designers
