Job Summary:

Caterpillar’s Electrification + Energy Solutions (E+ES) Division is looking for an Engineering Manager responsible for Battery Module and Battery Distribution Unit (BDU) system design and integration into multiple battery pack applications for RI/CI machines, rail and marine. As the manager, you will serve as both a technical and people leader, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture aligned with safety, innovation, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do: Lead Battery Module & BDU Engineering Development

Lead and manage cross-functional mechanical, thermal, and electrical engineering teams responsible for Battery Module and BDU design, ensuring quality, cost, weight, functionality, manufacturability (DFM/DFA), timing, and technical performance objectives are achieved. Own design control and guide technical design evolution, project planning, detailed design execution, and subsystem verification activities.

Plan, Execute, and Validate Product Development Programs
  • Support the planning, coordination, execution, and verification of Battery Module and BDU development activities within NPI and small-batch programs, including test planning, validation, cost estimating, budgeting, proposal development, and project timeline management.
