  • Assist engineers with air-up and leak testing, as well as supporting mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams during testing and readiness activities.

  • Diagnose air leaks, low pressure, and abnormal pneumatic behavior, and replace damaged tubes, fittings, valves, and cylinders.


Job description

Manual Pneumatic Technician

Location: Reno, NV

Start Date: June 15th

Duration: Approximately 1 – 2 months

Please note that any person with prior Tesla experience will be prioritized

Key Responsibilities1. Pneumatic Installation
  • Install air tubes, fittings, valve manifolds, cylinders, and other pneumatic components per drawings, redlines, and site instructions
  • Follow Mino USA and OEM standards for routing, color coding, and labeling
  • Use manual tools (tube cutter, wrenches, clamps) for cutting, securing, and connecting air lines
  • Ensure clean, secure, and safe pneumatic routing
2. Commissioning Support
  • Assist engineers with air-up and leak testing
  • Adjust pressure regulators, flow controls, and cushioning valves
  • Support mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams during motion testing and cycle time verification
  • Support customer buyoff, run-off, and pre-SOP readiness
3. Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose air leaks, low pressure, and abnormal pneumatic behavior
  • Replace damaged tubes, fittings, valves, and cylinders
  • Recommend improvements for recurring issues
QualificationsSkills
  • Able to identify and work with cylinders, FRLs, solenoid valves, flow controls, etc.
  • Able to read pneumatic schematics, installation drawings, and redlines
  • Proficient with standard hand tools
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and strong safety awareness
Experience
  • 1–3 years of pneumatic installation or mechanical assembly experience
  • Automotive line or contractor project experience preferred
  • Aerial lift, forklift, or scissor lift experience preferred
