Job description

Calspan is seeking a customer-focused and safety-conscious Customer Service Agent to support daily Fixed Base Operations (FBO) activities and deliver exceptional service to aircraft crews, passengers, and customers. In this role, you will perform a variety of aircraft ground handling and customer service duties, ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional operation of ramp and terminal activities.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced outdoor environment, takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.


  • Knowledge of various aircraft servicing (fuel, de-ice, tow) procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations and all company policies including (but not limited to) maintaining the secure area of the airport, FBO and terminal areas.
  • Coordinate with customer service to ensure all customer needs are met in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Load and unload passengers, crews, baggage, and cargo as needed.
  • Ability to effectively present and communicate information with customers, clients or other employees within the organization.
  • Ability to safely drive all types of servicing vehicles from gas trucks, belt loaders, forklifts and other service vehicles.
  • Successfully complete all training as deemed appropriate by Line Managers and/or General Manager.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 1+ years experience in a related discipline or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and managers
  • Reading, writing, math and communication skills

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Availability to work weekends, weekdays, overtime and holidays as needed to maintain coverage for 24/7 FBO operation
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Fluent in English language
  • Physical requirements: vision, hearing, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, carrying, walking, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending
