We are currently seeking a Database Administrator - Teradata to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate-Level Teradata DBA that will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and optimization of Teradata environments supporting critical healthcare data workloads.

Key Responsibilities
•    Manage and administer Teradata database environments across development, test, and production
•    Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
•    Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
•    Monitor and optimize database performance and query efficiency
•    Implement database security, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
•    Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution
•    Collaborate with data engineers, ETL developers, and business teams
•    Support data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives

Basic Qualifications
•    6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with strong Teradata experience
•    6+ years of experience with enterprise data warehouse environments
•    6+ years of experience with SQL and query performance tuning skills
•    6+ years of experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT)

Preferred Qualifications
•    Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•    Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), Exposure to data modernization programs
•    Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage
•    Healthcare industry experience

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $132,098 - $244,625 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
