  • Implement unsupervised and supervised learning methods to support mission-specific analytic workflows.
  • Build and manage datasets for training and evaluation in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Integrate prototypes into NASIC and broader DoD/IC IT architectures. Design and maintain data structures ("memory systems") that store learned patterns, support dynamic updates, and provide auditability.
  • Follow secure software development practices, leveraging Python (preferred, v3.11+) and/or C++ in government repositories.
  • Conduct prototype reviews, code walkthroughs, and demonstrations with NASIC stakeholders.
  • Participate in bi-weekly technical interchange meetings and status updates.

What You Must Have:

  • At least 10 years of software development experience
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python (PEP8, Google Style Guide, type hints, docstring conventions) and familiarity with C++.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) for computer vision applications.
  • Background in object detection, scene understanding, and spatial reasoning.
  • Hands-on experience with unsupervised learning methods and dataset development.
  • Ability to work in secure environments and follow strict code review and documentation standards.

What Would Be Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) workflows and imagery modalities.
  • Familiarity with Air Force / DoD software security constraints and classified development practices.
  • Experience designing dynamic and auditable data structures for knowledge persistence.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with government technical managers (GTMs) and SMEs in a fast-paced prototyping environment.
