We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, safety, and career and personal development. QLM is looking for a skilled craftsman for a rapidly growing company in Savannah, GA. The position is a 90-day contract-to-hire. We are looking for reliable and professional individuals who want to grow and lead within a company. Pay rate is $24-$25 per hour; work is Monday through Friday unless specified otherwise. Historic restoration is a requirement!   • Proven experience as a craftsman with three (3) or more years. 
  • Proven experience in historic restoration with one (1) year or more. 
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches. 
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in work. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 

  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials. 
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to blueprints and specifications for trim and rough carpentry. 
  • Install and replace finish trim. 
  • Install and/or repair window sashes. 
  • Work confidently with mortise and tenon repairs. 
  • Patch and blend drywall to match existing drywall. 
  • Work with painting to include prepping the site for paint and produce clean finish lines. 
  • Be able to repair rotten wood with epoxy systems and handle delicate material with care. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications. 
  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete tasks. 
  • Ensure all work meets high standards of craftsmanship and quality. 
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. 
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
