TENNIS SHOP ATTENDANT
Status: Seasonal, Full-time, Non-Exempt
  • Responsibility: Medium level of supervision needed. Medium level of operational decision making.
Skills:
  • Advanced Administrative Skills - Use of technology, verbal and written communication, business orrespondence, organization, time management.
  • Basic Management Skills - Decision making, planning, problem-solving, communication, delegation, time management, organization, interpersonal skills. Basic Supervisory Skills -Communication, leadership, conflict resolution, motivation, interpersonal skills, understand diversity and generational differences.
  • Advanced Teamwork and Communication Skills -Interact, work and relate with people, listen, speak, read, write, observe, use English fluently.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills - Product knowledge, problem-solving skills, time management, attentiveness, patience, positive attitude, a willingness to go the extra mile, responsibility, professionalism.
  • Basic Tennis skills -General understanding of the rules and etiquette, playing experience a plus.
  • Basic Safety Skills - Observe safety rules, CPR and First Aid.
  • Basic Child Care and Education - Interpersonal interactions with children, instructional skills, creativity, patience, ability to adapt and react to children’s needs, physical stamina.

Work Conditions: Level 2 - Mostly indoors, air conditioning, variable schedule based on business demands.

Duties:
  • Tennis Shop Attendant will work closely with the Tennis Shop Manager to maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the tennis shop and ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of the tennis program.
  • Enthusiastically greet members and assist them with court times, lesson booking, clinic sign ups, and retail needs
  • Assist Tennis Shop Manager with daily billing
  • Keep the shop and tennis facilities clean and tidy throughout the day
  • Notify tennis professionals when a lesson/clinic is booked
  • Restock the fridge/freezer and shop inventory as needed
  • Assist the Tennis Shop Manager with answering the phone and recording any messages.
  • Report back to the Tennis Shop Manager and Director of Racquets at the end of the day with a daily report
  • Close the shop and facilities after all members have left for the evening when needed
  • Other tasks as assigned
