The Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC) is a prestigious private 36-hole facility located 25 miles north of Atlanta. Founded in 1898 by a group of young professionals seeking a place to enjoy both indoor and outdoor athletics, the Club has continued to grow and evolve over its long history. Originally established downtown on Edgewood Avenue, AAC expanded over the decades, adding a golf course and country club at East Lake in 1915 before relocating to its current Johns Creek location in the late 1960s. The Club has been home to many great athletes, most notably Bobby Jones.
Atlanta Athletic Club's Racquets Center is recognized as one of the premier private racquet facilities in the Southeast, featuring climate-controlled indoor courts, twelve outdoor Har-Tru clay and hard courts, and eight dedicated pickleball courts. Awarded Facility of the Year by both the USTA and the Georgia Professional Tennis Association, the center offers year-round programming, expert instruction, and exceptional playing experiences for members of all ages and skill levels.

The Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Tennis Professional to lead and elevate our tennis program to be the best in the country. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and driven professional to shape a world-class tennis experience for our members.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging tennis programs for all skill levels and ages
  • Run high energy programs such as Cardio Tennis and similar style clinics
  • Coordinate and manage ALTA tennis teams or similar leagues
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members
  • Maintain and enhance the quality of our tennis facilities
  • Promote the club's tennis programs and events to attract and retain members while increasing participation

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrate strong tennis skills with a full understanding of the game and its etiquette
  • Possess endurance and stamina to remain on your feet for extended periods, often several hours per day, while coaching, demonstrating techniques, and running drills
  • Quick movement around the court, including running, pivoting, and changing direction frequently
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment such as ball baskets, court dividers, and teaching aids (typically up to 50 pounds)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and wind

Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role at a high-profile country club or similar elite tennis environment
  • RSPA/PTR or equivalent member in good standing
  • At least a 5.0 tennis playing ability
  • Proven experience managing ALTA, USTA, or similar league teams
  • Background in teaching cardio tennis, team clinics, and lessons with outstanding customer service
  • Minimum 3 years Junior development expertise in a ROG pathway
