Southmont High School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Spring Athletic Programs in the following roles: (we offer Volleyball, Football, Boys Tennis, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Co-Ed Cross Country, Girls Golf, & Cheerleading)
  • Varsity Assistant Coach
  • Junior Varsity (JV) Coach
  • Volunteer Coach

Position Overview
Coaches will support the Head Coach and Athletic Department in building a competitive, positive, and student-focused program. Candidates should be committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and conducting practices
  • Teach sport-specific skills and game strategies
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and accountability
  • Supervise athletes at practices and contests
  • Support program organization, communication, and equipment management
  • Follow all school, conference, and IHSAA guidelines

Qualifications
  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching staff
  • Completion of required certifications (CPR, First Aid, state coaching requirements)
  • Must meet all Southmont High School employment and background check requirements
