Job description

Amazing Athletes, a leading provider of sport enrichment programs for children aged 2-12, is seeking a Youth Sports Coach to join their dynamic team. As an Afterschool Youth Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering fun and engaging multi-sport lessons in a non-competitive environment to children. The successful candidate will have 3 qualities: 1) excellent communicator 2) flexibility and adaptability and 3) be able to captivate a group of young kids!

Responsibilities
  • Delivering 10 different sports lessons, such as soccer, basketball, and tennis to children aged 3-8 years in a non-competitive and supportive environment.
  • Delivering lessons about nutrition and muscle groups to enhance motor skills, physical literacy, and health.
  • Creating and executing engaging lesson plans.
  • Building positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and staff.
  • Managing the classrooms, materials and equipment necessary for successful lessons.
  • Ensuring all children are safe, happy and comfortable in each lesson
  • Monitoring and evaluating children's progress and providing feedback to parents.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children under 12 years
  • 18 years of age or older / minimum eduction: GED or HS grad
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to engage kids ages 3 - 8
  • Availability to work minimum 2 days a week (M, T, W or Th) afternoons from 3pm to 6pm
  • Reliable transportation, must be willing to travel throughout the greater Indianapolis area, majority of programs are in in or close by the 46260 zip code

Benefits

Starting pay range is $18 - 22 / class, coaches work based upon their availability.
