) Beechwood is seeking a dedicated Temporary Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to support our residents and maintain high-quality programming during a short-term staffing need. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about enhancing quality of life for older adults.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead daily recreational and therapeutic activities
  • Develop monthly activity calendars and individualized engagement plans
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal recreation requirements
  • Supervise recreation staff and volunteers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Collaborate with nursing, social work, and administration to support resident well‑being

Qualifications:
  • Certification as a TRD, CTRS, or equivalent (per state requirements)
  • Experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
