General Description
The Testing & Assessment Assistant works to carry out the accurate delivery and filing of assessment testing, placement and proctored exams offered through Oklahoma City Community College. The Testing & Assessment Assistant is further responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of tests.
Current OCCC students are not eligible for this position due to the presence of academic exams in the Test Center.

Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum (1) year of customer service experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Customer service knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Computer skills
Ability to accurately enter the appropriate student tracking data into the system.
Ability to adhere to all requirements necessary to maintain security for all testing materials.
Ability to accurately file all testing materials as required.
Ability to maintain information in a confidential and secure manner.
Ability to multi-task while working under pressure of required accuracy and volume of people.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, faculty, staff, administration, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.
This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer, other office/classroom equipment and mobile devices to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists.
This position requires the person to use upper and lower body to exert force up to 20 pounds to lift materials or equipment.
This position requires the person to frequently position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level.
3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
4. WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement)
Adhere to established Testing & Assessment Office procedures to ensure efficient operations, compliance with institutional policies, and the integrity of testing processes.
Maintain the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of all testing materials, records, and assessment data in accordance with testing standards and College guidelines.
Coordinate and provide specialized testing services, including accommodated testing for students with disabilities, make-up testing, and correspondence or other approved testing services.
Administer placement, assessment, and other approved examinations while providing clear instructions and assistance to students throughout the testing process.
Promote a professional and welcoming environment within the Testing & Assessment Office by delivering accurate information, responsive support, and exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a courteous, professional, and service-oriented manner.
Communicate effectively with the campus community through positive interpersonal interactions, professional verbal and written communication, and effective telephone and customer service skills.
Assist with maintaining testing records, monitoring testing environments, and supporting daily office operations as assigned.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required to support departmental and institutional needs.

Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies & Procedures.
Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.
Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
