Job description

Job Title: WelderJob Description

As a welder, you will utilize the MIG welding technique to weld trailer components. This includes processes such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc. You will operate welding gear and equipment safely, examine workpieces for defects, and perform repairs as needed. Your role involves using measuring tapes, combination squares, and levels to lay out, position, align, and secure parts before assembly. Additionally, you will monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials. Signing off on completed work orders and maintaining an organized, clean workstation and equipment are also part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate welding gear and equipment safely.
  • Examine workpieces for defects and perform repairs as needed.
  • Use measuring tapes, combination squares, and levels to lay out, position, align, and secure parts before assembly.
