Join a high-volume welding team that produces seat frames and steel harnesses for a wide range of vehicles using mild steel. This role focuses on MIG and robotic welding, with opportunities to work on different lines and skill levels. You will use your welding and blueprint reading skills to complete precise, repeatable welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG and robotic welding on mild steel seat frames and safety harness components according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Produce between approximately 80 and 200 parts per day, depending on the assigned area and production line.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to ensure accurate weld placement and quality.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding equipment and MIG welders to maintain consistent weld quality.
  • Inspect welds visually and with basic measurement tools to confirm they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and production schedules.
  • Perform spot welding and soldering tasks as required by specific jobs or product lines.
  • Work collaboratively with a production team that may range from about 50 to 150 people, depending on shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or production problems to supervision in a timely manner.

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in MIG welding and/or robotic welding, or formal schooling in welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Hands-on MIG welding experience with mild steel.
  • Basic knowledge of robotic welding processes or willingness to learn in a production environment.
  • Experience with spot welding and soldering or exposure to similar metal joining processes.
  • Understanding of basic weld inspection practices to identify defects and verify weld quality.
  • Ability to meet production expectations of 80–200 parts per day while maintaining quality.
  • Capability to work 10-hour shifts on a consistent schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • AWS training or coursework related to welding standards and practices.
  • Experience performing weld inspection or quality checks in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing of automotive or vehicle-related components.
  • Comfort working with robotic welding cells and automated equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Why Work Here?

You will work in a supportive environment that offers second-chance opportunities and focuses on personal and professional growth. The facility provides convenient on-site amenities, including a gym and a health clinic that extends to family members enrolled in the company’s insurance. Multiple breakrooms create comfortable spaces for rest during the workday, and there are opportunities to participate in faith-based gatherings that include a complimentary lunch. The schedule is structured around four 10-hour days, with additional incentives such as shift premiums and attendance bonuses, supporting both stability and work-life balance.

Work Environment

This role is based in a very large manufacturing facility that produces bus seats and safety harnesses using mild steel. You will work on a production team that may range from approximately 50 to 150 people, depending on the shift. The standard schedule consists of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with available shifts including 1st shift (6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) and 2nd shift (5:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m.), with a shift premium for 2nd shift. A weekend shift option operates on Friday (6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) and Saturday (7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.), with a perfect attendance bonus offered each weekend. The environment is typical of a large industrial manufacturing operation, with welding equipment, robotic welding cells, and production lines.
