This field-based role supports commercial recycling and waste reduction initiatives across the San Jose Ca. The Waste & Recycling Auditor - Field Representative conducts hands-on site audits, evaluates waste streams, and develops data-driven recommendations to improve sustainability performance and regulatory compliance. This position combines independent fieldwork with client interaction and reporting, making it ideal for environmentally focused professionals who thrive in dynamic, on-site environments.
Duties
  • Travel to commercial client locations to perform hands-on waste and recycling audits
  • Sort, document, and photograph waste streams to identify contamination and improvement opportunities
  • Analyze audit data and identify trends for program optimization
  • Prepare clear audit reports and presentations using standard office software
  • Conduct site visits and walkthroughs to verify recycling program compliance
  • Coordinate logistics with site contacts and external vendors
  • Support client education and recycling awareness efforts
  • Occasionally oversee temporary staff during audit projects

Requirements
